CHARTER OF KING STEFAN DABIŠA TO HIS DAUGHTER STANA

Note

The Charter was created on 26th of April 1395 in Sutjeska. With this decree king Stefan Dabiša donates the village of Veljake in Zachlumia. According to the text of the charter, after her death, the village should pass on to knyaz Jurje Radivojević and his wife Vladica, Stana’s daughter, and their successors. Part of the charter intended for the witnesses clearly depicts the historical and political areas of the state of Kotromanić, so we have witnesses from Bosnia, from the land of Zachlumia, from the Donji Kraji, from Usora, then from the court and from the closer family. The Charter is kept at the Haus-Hof-und Staatsarchiv in Vienna.

It was first published on September 3, 1815 in the publication of Serbian Newspaper number 195 on the fourth page (Serbian Newspaper 1815 / II, Belgrade-Novi Sad 1984, 780-phototypical edition).
